Yet another Wednesday

Last week I didn't do much anything. I watched Beyond Re-Animator, They Call Me Trinity, Peeping Tom (1960) and The House By The Cemetery. When not watching movies I've listened to Kate Bush, Ramones and White Stripes. And a little Tom Waits. I also watched someone's shitty walkthrough of Dead Rising on YouTube to help quench my thirst for Dead Rising 2, and I was not amused. The walkthrough showed Dead Rising at it's worst and had bad editing.

Today I went out to buy games and came back with Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars and Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror for PC, as well as Skate. for PS3. Now I have both the two original as well as the two newer Broken Sword games. I thought about buying Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow for PC, but I wasn't sure if it's worth 4,90€ to buy a game I already have for PS2. I mean, I know the PC version is slightly different, but is it different enough?
I also thought about buying Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood for PC for 1,90€, but I was in a hurry to catch the bus and decided not to bother, and I considered buying Call of Juarez 2: Bound in Blood for PS3 but made the final decision of not buying a stinky FPS with a weak wild west theme tacked on it for the price they're asking. I have the original CoJ for PC and it's not too great of a game when you compare it to other FPS games, and CoJ2:BiB looks... crappier to be honest.

I'm going to go play Skate now.

  1. You should buy mass effect/ mass effect 2, I am currently playing through now, I am impressed :D

All of these games you're thinking of buying seem very well priced. An old game here costs about 30$ which for you would be about 22€. The new game I want is about 50€.

  6. Well, perhaps its not so much a shock more a change of pace from what I normally see you play, I mean after second sight, SWAT, the RTS games, all the LPs. It's not a game that I would say you definitely played.

P.S. When can we expect an update, I come everyday and read the most recent one again, hoping a new one will pop up magically...sad isn't it...maybe you should save me from being pathetic, it impresses the chicks more when you check a website that produces content :D

  7. I am also a long time watcher, of both your videos and this blog. Yet I've only commented on your videos, I'm too lazy to make an account for here. Either way it's good to know your still around on the internet.

  8. Well it sure warms thy heart to hear that people read thy blog so often. I'm just about done with Thief: Deadly Shadows so I suppose I'll rant about that game sometime in the next 24 hours, unless the game frustrates me to death in the final mission.

  9. I always enjoy your game "rants(reviews)" it helps when I get time off university and I need games to play. I just look for something that you gave a positive review for...or a negative review, I'll play those just to have the hilarity of saying "Johnny was so right!"
